The focus of the Human Resource Management team at Forethought has undergone an exciting change recently. To reflect Forethought's commitment to developing the skills, knowledge and attributes of all employees, the HR team will now be known as the Career Development team.

Forethought has been ranked No. 2 in a recent national Work/Life Balance Benchmarking Study. Now in its ninth year, over 410 organisations from both the public and private sector participated in the study.

Each year the Australian Human Resources Institute recognise organisations that display Excellence in People Management. Known as the AHRI Awards for Excellence in People Management, they aim to uphold professional standards by providing an award that clearly links HR's activities to organisational performance and identifies leadership and innovation within the people management profession.

In October 2005, the AMSRS publication Research News published a story entitled 'Family-friendly policies lead to better staff retention'. As an organisation with some of the most progressive 'family friendly' HR policies, Forethought, under the Roberts Research Group (Roberts) banner, wrote to Research News highlighting its commitment and achievements in this domain.

Forethought's very own Sarah McKinney has conquered one of the toughest foot races in the world - The Kepler Challenge Mountain Run. Now in its 18th year, this premier mountain running event follows the 60km Kepler Track in New Zealand's picturesque South Island and draws competitors from all corners of the globe.
