Graduate Business Analyst

Forethought specialises in acquisition, retention, brand and communications research, and partners with organisations to develop and monitor commercially effective market strategies.
The Forethought team enjoy offices in a landmark Collins Street building right in the heart of Melbourne. As Melbourne is our head office, some travel may be required to our clients interstate and overseas. We currently employ approximately 40 consultants and are looking for 12 graduates to join the team in 2011.

At Forethought we recruit from the following disciplines:
- Double degrees with a Marketing major
- Honours degrees - particularly Marketing, Maths, Science, Engineering or Psychology
- Post-graduate degrees
- Post-Doctorate - PhD students
The successful candidates will have:

- Work experience - not necessarily in the industry OR

Our graduate recruitment programme will commence in April 2009. The positions will commence in March/June 2010, or earlier if your availability is earlier.
As a graduate analyst with Forethought consulting, the work you will be involved in will include:
- Client liaison - attending client meetings and briefings
- Completing project tasks for clients within your team
- Converting client briefs into discussion guides for in-depth interviews
- Conducting industry- or methodology-specific research
- Conducting primary qualitative interviews
- Summarising focus groups, interviews and quantitative data
- Interpreting analysis findings and relating them in a clear and concise manner
- Preparing draft reports for clients
- Preparing draft presentations
- Identifying value-add recommendations using Forethought tools and methodology
- Attending internal and client presentations as well as focus groups and interviews
- Establishing and designing questionnaires
- Attending internal training
- Attending team and company meetings
